However, the concept of the art here is less apparent. In fact, you would not have understood this through the music if I had not told you before. This thought has devoured my daily morning writings, my philosophical talks with others, and my quiet time alone.
I have grown up to think that every aspect of life has a duality: right/wrong, male/female, yin/yang, life/death, black/white. This year (2006) has been instrumental in my spiritual growth, and what I have learned is that nothing is dualistic. Just as the keys on the piano, we may outwardly see that there are only digital choices, but behind those keys is an analog space – infinite choices of notes. Everything is simply a continuum of this grand existence.
While each song may not speak directly to this point, I was always conscious of it while in the creation stages. So, I feel it very important to share it with you, and it may offer to you some sort of common thread throughout the album.
